Privacy Policy for StageScreen

Effective date: June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how StageScreen („StageScreen“, „the App“, „we“,

„us“, or „our“) accesses, collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes

information when you use the StageScreen mobile app.

Developer / publisher: NiceoSoft, the developer of StageScreen. If the Google

Play listing shows a different legal developer or publisher name, that listed

entity is the controller of the data described in this policy.

Privacy contact: You can contact us using the support or privacy email address

shown on StageScreen’s Google Play Store listing.

## Summary

StageScreen is an app for stage presenters and display devices. It lets one

device create a presentation session and other devices join that session to show

or control page numbers, countdowns, display styling, and presenter notes.

StageScreen does not require you to create an account. StageScreen does not sell

your personal information. StageScreen does not use third-party advertising SDKs

and does not use your data for behavioral advertising. StageScreen does not

collect precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, or photos from your

device.

## Information We Collect and Process

### Session data

When you create, join, or control a StageScreen session, the App may collect and

store session-related data in Firebase Cloud Firestore, including:

– session ID and session password or session secret;

– a temporary pseudonymous device or participant identifier;

– session creation time, expiration time, last update time, and session status;

– participant list or participant count;

– current page number and total page count;

– countdown duration, start time, end time, and running status;

– display preferences such as font, font size, text color, background color,

alignment, page change effect, clock visibility, and blank screen status;

– optional presenter notes or optional session title if you enter them.

We use this data to create sessions, let devices join sessions, synchronize

presentation state between connected devices, enforce session limits, and keep

the stage display working in real time.

### Local app data

The App stores some data locally on your device using device storage, including:

– recently used session IDs, session passwords, session titles, join times,

expiration times, role information, current page, and total pages;

– language and interface preferences;

– information used to apply free or Pro feature limits.

This local data is used to let you return to recent sessions and keep basic app

settings. Local data is not uploaded unless it is also part of a session action,

such as joining or updating a session. You can remove recent sessions in the App

where available, clear app storage in your device settings, or uninstall the

App.

### Camera access for QR codes

If you choose to join a session by scanning a QR code, StageScreen requests

camera permission. Camera access is used only to scan StageScreen QR codes and

extract the session ID and session secret from the code.

StageScreen does not store photos or videos from your camera and does not upload

camera images to our servers for QR scanning. If you do not want to grant camera

permission, you can join a session manually by entering the session information.

### Purchases and subscriptions

StageScreen offers optional Pro features through in-app purchases or

subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed in the App

through RevenueCat.

For purchase validation and subscription status, Google Play and RevenueCat may

process information such as product identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts,

subscription entitlement status, app user identifiers generated by the purchase

SDK, device type, operating system, app version, and related technical

information. StageScreen does not receive your full payment card number.

We use purchase and subscription information to unlock Pro features, restore

purchases, prevent fraud, and provide subscription support.

### Technical and security data

StageScreen uses Firebase services, including Firebase Cloud Firestore and

Firebase App Check. These services may process technical data such as IP

address, device and app integrity signals, App Check tokens, request metadata,

device type, operating system, and similar technical information.

We use this information to provide the App, secure backend access, prevent

abuse, troubleshoot service issues, and maintain app reliability.

### Support communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to

provide, such as your email address, message content, session information you

include, purchase status details, and technical troubleshooting information.

We use support communications to respond to your request, diagnose issues, and

improve the App.

## Information We Do Not Collect

StageScreen does not intentionally collect:

– account registration information, because the App does not require accounts;

– precise GPS location;

– contacts or address book data;

– microphone recordings;

– photos, videos, or files from your media library;

– advertising identifiers for ad targeting;

– health, fitness, biometric, or government identification data.

## How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

– provide, operate, and synchronize StageScreen sessions;

– let users create, join, control, and display presentation sessions;

– store recent sessions and preferences on your device;

– scan QR codes when you choose that join method;

– process, validate, and restore purchases and subscriptions;

– enforce free and Pro feature limits;

– protect the App and backend services from abuse and unauthorized access;

– troubleshoot bugs, respond to support requests, and improve reliability;

– comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

## Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we process information

under the following bases:

– Performance of a contract: to provide the App features you request, including

session creation, synchronization, and purchase-related functionality.

– Legitimate interests: to secure the App, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues,

and improve reliability.

– Consent: where you grant optional permissions, such as camera access for QR

scanning.

– Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with

applicable law, payment rules, tax obligations, or valid legal requests.

## Sharing of Information

We share information only as needed to provide and operate StageScreen:

– Google Firebase / Google Cloud: used for session storage, real-time session

updates, backend security, and App Check.

– Google Play: used for Android app distribution, in-app purchases,

subscriptions, payment processing, refunds, and purchase management.

– RevenueCat: used to manage purchase validation, subscription status, and Pro

entitlements.

– Service providers and contractors: if used, only to operate, secure, support,

or improve the App under appropriate confidentiality and data protection

obligations.

– Legal and safety purposes: if required to comply with law, respond to lawful

requests, prevent fraud or abuse, protect rights and safety, or handle a

merger, acquisition, or business transfer with appropriate notice where

required.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal

information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

## Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect

information processed by StageScreen. Data transmitted between the App and

backend services is sent using encrypted connections where supported by the

platform and service. Firebase security rules restrict access to session records

based on the session ID and session password or secret. Firebase App Check helps

protect backend resources from abuse.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we

cannot guarantee absolute security.

## Data Retention

Session data is designed to be temporary. Sessions include an expiration time.

After a session expires, client access to that session is blocked by backend

rules, and Firestore time-to-live settings are used for deletion of expired

session records.

Local recent-session data remains on your device until you remove it in the App

where available, clear app storage, or uninstall the App. The App may

automatically remove expired local session history after it is no longer useful.

Purchase and subscription records may be retained by Google Play, RevenueCat,

and us for as long as needed to provide purchases, restore entitlements, prevent

fraud, provide support, comply with tax/accounting obligations, and resolve

disputes.

Support communications are retained for as long as needed to respond to you,

maintain support history, improve the App, and comply with legal obligations.

We may retain limited technical, security, backup, or legal records for longer

where necessary to protect the App, comply with law, or resolve disputes.

## Deletion and Your Choices

StageScreen does not currently provide user accounts. Because there is no

account registration, there is no in-app account deletion flow.

You can control your data in these ways:

– Camera: deny or revoke camera permission in your device settings and use

manual session entry instead.

– Local data: remove recent sessions in the App where available, clear app

storage in your device settings, or uninstall the App.

– Session data: let sessions expire, or contact us to request deletion of

session data. To help us locate and verify a session deletion request, you may

need to provide the session ID and session password or secret.

– Purchases: manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play subscription

settings. Purchase records may still be retained by Google Play, RevenueCat,

and us as described above.

## Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to,

correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal

information, and you may have the right to object to certain processing or

withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the support or privacy email shown

on the StageScreen Google Play Store listing. We may need information to verify

your request, such as the session ID and session password or secret for

session-related requests, or purchase information for subscription-related

requests.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland,

you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection

authority.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information

as those terms are commonly used for cross-context behavioral advertising, and

we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16

years of age.

## International Data Transfers

StageScreen, Firebase, Google Play, RevenueCat, and other service providers may

process information in countries other than the country where you live. These

countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

## Children

StageScreen is not directed to children under 13 years of age, or the equivalent

minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal

information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal

information through StageScreen, contact us so we can review and delete the

information where appropriate.

## Third-Party Privacy Policies

The following third-party services are used by StageScreen and may process data

under their own privacy terms:

– Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

– Firebase Privacy and Security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

– RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/

## Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material

changes, we will update the effective date above and provide notice where

required by law. Your continued use of StageScreen after an updated policy is

published means the updated policy applies to your use of the App.
