Bike Phone — Privacy policy

Controller and contact
Bike Phone (BikePhone), package bikebuddy.niceosoft.com, is provided by Niceosoft: Andre Sieger, c/o IP-Management #7773, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. For privacy requests contact info@niceosoft.com; app support: support@niceosoft.com.
Local data and location
There is no app account, advertising or analytics service. With your Android location permission, the app uses precise or approximate location, speed, direction and GPS elevation for the cycling dashboard. Ride recording starts only when you start it yourself. An active recording can continue while the screen is locked or another app is open, using an Android foreground service and notification. Stop or save the recording to end it. Routes, timestamps, ride statistics and dashboard settings are stored locally on your device; the app has no Niceosoft server for uploading rides.
Maps and weather
Online maps request tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org over HTTPS. The OpenStreetMap Foundation and its delivery servers receive your IP address and requested map areas; these areas may reveal your location or a viewed route. Displaying a saved route also requests map tiles. When the weather widget is enabled, the app sends latitude and longitude rounded to four decimal places to api.open-meteo.com over HTTPS to obtain local temperature. Open-Meteo also receives your IP address. Its published policy says server logs may contain coordinates and are deleted after 90 days. This is not purely temporary processing. These providers may use infrastructure outside the European Economic Area; their policies describe their processing and safeguards. Removing the weather widget stops automatic weather requests. Avoid displaying maps or disconnect networking to prevent new tile requests; denying location permission prevents new GPS-based features.
Other permissions and services
Notifications indicate active recording and timers. Keeping the screen awake supports ride mode. The flashlight uses the camera flash, not photo or video recording. The Spotify shortcut opens Spotify or its website; Bike Phone does not read your Spotify account or music. Their own privacy policies apply after opening them. Optional one-time support purchases, when available, are handled by Google Play. The app receives product and purchase status to complete the transaction, but never receives payment card details. No purchase is required to use features.
Purposes and legal bases
Optional location access and location-based external requests are based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw permission in Android settings, without affecting earlier processing. Providing functions you request and handling purchases or support requests relies on Article 6(1)(b). Necessary security and correspondence administration relies on Article 6(1)(f), our interest in operating the service securely and answering requests. The external providers determine the legal bases for their own processing. There is no automated decision-making or advertising profiling by Bike Phone.
Retention and deletion
Saved rides remain until you delete them in the ride list or erase app storage through Android settings. Deleting local app data does not delete logs already held by external providers. Device or operating-system backups are controlled by your system settings; manage those copies separately. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact the privacy address for access or deletion requests; do not send full GPS routes unless necessary. Bike Phone does not provide public sharing of your location or rides.
Your rights and updates
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, withdraw consent, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and complain to a competent data protection authority. Contact info@niceosoft.com. The app is intended for cyclists aged 13 and over and does not target younger children. Changes to the app or external services may require updates to this notice; the current version and date appear above.
