Back to what Taste

Build a food archive that helps on your next shopping trip

Record personal taste impressions so you can find a favourite product again.

Rate a product after you have tried it. A short note such as “less sweet than expected” may be more useful next week than a star rating alone. Describe your own taste rather than presenting it as a fact about everyone’s preferences.

Keep the product name and barcode with the rating when available. Similar packaging can hide different varieties. In what Taste, barcode lookup can help identify a product, but compare the result with the item you actually bought.

Use favourites for products you want to find again. Review the archive before shopping and consider whether your note is still useful if the recipe or packaging changes. Personal notes can explain why you liked an item.

Your local archive is private and is not automatically submitted to the public community. Before exporting or sharing it, check whether it contains notes or pictures you want to keep to yourself.
